A Hobby and social place
We are a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO – SC044586) and a member of the Scottish Men’s Shed Association.
Men (18+ years) come to the Shed to chat, play cards/board games, work on computers, participate in hobbies or help in activities supporting the community. We have very well equipped workshops (woodworking, mechanical, picture framing, CNC, 3D-printing & laser engraving), social areas (including a kitchen) and a large garden with greenhouses, polytunnel, raised beds, pétanque piste and picnic tables.
Early in 2025 we started a separate Women’s Shed. This operates fortnightly on Wednesdays afternoon and evenings. Working are coming to learn a range of skills offered at the Shed. Training is provided by some of the men – the long term aim is that the women will be able to supervise and run the workshops themselves.
In partnership with the Council we offer drop-in IT skills sessions on Monday afternoons.
During the winter months we run a Winter Cafe offering free soup, toast and snacks – aloing with a chat, board/card games, computerts etc.
We have a pétanque (boules) club that runs on a Thursday afternoon at 2pm – all are welcome.
Membership of the Shed is free – we just ask for a donation for teas and coffees

The Shed might be able to help
We undertake projects to help individuals and the community, such as:
– restoring notice boards, furniture, benches, garden tables, railway barrows…
– we help local schools with projects for the children: building mud kitchens, making bird box kits etc.
We just ask for a donation to help with our running costs

Our PROJECTS AND HOBBIES
Barrows refurbished for the Strathspey Railway
We undertake a variety of projects in support of individuals, charities, community groups, councils and for specific fund raising purposes.
Many of the men also carry out their own projects at the shed. These include wood turning, photography, motorbike restoration, and model railways.
Of course we have many men who come for a cuppa, a chat, a game of cards or dominoes and to enjoy the company of other people.
